Sarah Durieux and Jeff Kwasi Klein, Co-Directors of the Multitudes Foundation

Sarah Durieux and Jeff Kwasi Klein

Sarah Durieux, former Executive Director of Change.org in France, and Jeff Kwasi Klein, former project lead at Each One Teach One (EOTO) in Germany, have been appointed as Co-Director of the Multitudes Foundation. Together they will lead the operations of our organization, supporting people across Europe to reimagine politics: who holds power, how it’s exercised and how people connect to it.

During her time at Change.org, Sarah helped millions of French people to change laws and business practices and to grow movements that changed the conversation in the country. She has been training and supporting thousands of changemakers on organising, mobilisation and narratives, encouraging them to use their deeply held values to build collective power. In France, she co-founded “La Rencontre des Justices” a movement building connection, empathy and shared purpose between activists and social entrepreneurs and “Quartier Général” a peer support collective of activists running for elections and advocating for new democratic practices.

Jeff is an active member and contributor to Black community spaces in Germany and throughout Europe, focusing his efforts in projects that work to overcome the structural disadvantages these communities are facing. Before joining Multitudes, he led the May Ayim Fund as well as Germany’s first anti-discrimination counselling centre for Black, African and African Diasporic people at Each One Teach One e.V. He is a member of the Berlin Senate’s advisory committee “Equality in Black” and a board member of Migrationsrat Berlin e.V., where he advocates for the rights and interests of Black and PoC communities as well as a variety of (post-)migrant self-organisations.

We are extremely excited to have them as our co-directors as we prepare our official launch for June 15, 2023.
